Shipping & Delivery FAQs
When you place an order online at Guinea Pigs Australia, you will receive a confirmation email. Once shipping you will then receive a tracking number that you can use to track your order on its journey to your doorstep.
You can check the delivery status of open orders in your Account Order History.
Simply click on "Track This Order" link under status to see the current state and projected delivery date of your order.

Our couriers do not have a standard time of the day that goods are delivered.
To make things easier for you, when you place order, make sure you give clear instructions on where the package should be left if you are not home, as we give our couriers "authority to leave".
We find that customers prefer this approach for its convenience. For items sent via post, your order will arrive with your regular mail.
We typically split items up into different packages depending on the type, weight or size of the products.
Also due to some items being handcut such as our Vet Bed or Fleece liner range, the size of our warehouse and the warehouse team, each package may be prepared and shipped independently to speed up the picking and packing process, The moment that part of your order is ready, we will send it out to you.
This means you may get multiple boxes in your order, and on the odd occasion these might arrive on different days depending on when they are dispatched.
You will be able to check this in your order dispatch email and see what will be in each box.
For our customers in the Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide metropolitan areas, we use a combination of in-house and third party couriers, including Direct Freight Express, Couriers Please, Sendle, Australia Post and Aramex.
For smaller parcels we will endeavour to use Australia Post. Larger parcels or orders requiring more than one box will be shipped with Direct Freight Express.
We offer a range of shipping options which is calculated based on the weight of your items. Shipping will not exceed a maximum of $30.00 any one shipment and starts as low as $8.90 to selected Metro areas in NSW, QLD and VIC for parcels under 1kg.
Other metro* areas will have their maximum shipping cost capped, while shipping for non-metro and rural areas will depend on where you live and the size of your order.
* Please note metro areas are defined by our courier partner and their serviceable zones.
We ship to residential homes all over Australia!
That said, sometimes our couriers cannot offer door to door delivery for more remote areas - in this case, your goods will be left at the nearest local post office for safekeeping until you're ready to pick them up.
We are also happy to deliver to your workplace: just make sure you include your business name to make sure your order arrives promptly.
We understand that sometimes your pet just can't wait to get their paws on their favourite treats or toys - which is why we aim to get your order to you as soon as possible.
If you have a pre-order item this will be shipped as soon as stock is available. We will have emailed you this date, so please check your messages.
Don't forget that you can use the tracking number provided with your order confirmation to find an estimated arrival time for your order.
Unfortunately our couriers do not deliver to PO boxes or Parcel Lockers.
We ship all orders from our warehouse in Coomera on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
That's not a problem at all - just make sure you include the recipient's name in your delivery address details to avoid confusion.
Just be sure to change your address back after you have received your dispatch email to ensure all future orders are delivered correctly
Generally we do not ship internationally. However we may be able to provide you with a quote - send us an email with your address and products you are looking at purchasing and we'll see if we can assist you.
Our standard courier rates are calculated based on metro and semi‑rural areas. Deliveries to rural or remote locations may incur an additional surcharge. If this applies to your order, we will contact you to advise the surcharge and confirm whether you would like to proceed. If you choose not to proceed, we will refund your order in full, or you may choose to cover a portion of the surcharge to complete the delivery.
Pre-Orders
We prioritise all our pre-orders to ensure they are packed, dispatched and delivered as soon as they are in stock. You will receive an email from our team advising the date it will be ready for dispatch. Often shipping will take place earlier than expected!

If you have an order with both pre-order and non pre-order items, your items will be shipped together once the pre-order item(s) are in stock.
To avoid delays waiting on non pre-order items, we recommend making a separate order.
